in New Mexico
AEDP-SW has been introducing and furthering training in AEDP here in New Mexico since 2012. Again and again we have heard from participants in our trainings about how they are drawn to this practice. We have also frequently heard requests to see this work with clients who more reflect the populations they see in their practices and agencies here in New Mexico, clients who reflect the cultural and economic diversity of our state.
Towards this goal of developing a situated practice of AEDP in New Mexico, AEDP-Southwest is happy to tell you about our first ever “salon” – a meeting of psychotherapists interested in AEDP gathering to discuss, and maybe challenge, local applications of AEDP principles.
This two hour gathering will involve watching videotape of work presented by a local AEDP-certified clinician, followed by discussion and exploration with a specific focus on cross-cultural and cross-socioeconomic issues. Counselors and social workers will receive two hours of cross-cultural CEUs for their participation.
Where: Office of Birgitta Gabel
1400 Central Ave SE, Suite 2300
Albuquerque, NM 87106
When: This event has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date
Cost: Admission is free. We will provide 2 free CEUs for counselors
and social workers.
We’ll have room for about 20 people.
